Prison Game is breaking ground and challenging audiences….

When prison is your world, how do you function within society? This gripping, and at times chilling, one-man physical theatre performance the story of how prison can define a man.

Prison Game is a contemporary take on the Kitchen Sink Drama, themes stem from socialist realism of the Black community in inner city UK. Prison Game depicts the realities of working class Britain for First, Second and Third Windrush Generations.

A one-man physical theatre performance packed with an intense narrative, Prison Game is the story of a young boy in primary school and the events that challenge him on his journey into adulthood.

A biographical story; this work has been developed through real life accounts and extraordinary experiences and pays great attention to the psychological effect on a person who has been institutionalised.

The play focuses on what happens when an individual exists deeply within the prison system and the subsequent reactions of those outside it. When prison is your world, how do you function within society? Prison Game is a gripping and at times chilling insight into the life of one of the first generation of ‘starred up’ criminals in the UK, and how prison can define a man.
